Art of Light

In order to cast the following spell you must possess either Spellcraft or Invocation.

The Art of Light

The Magick of illumination, Light affects both the material and within the mind. Perhaps the least direct Art, this Magick reflects the nature of light itself - revelatory and encompassing. Light Magick can remove fear, and banish doubt as much as it can bring understanding or forgetfulness. The basis of Light Magick is simple effects - simple effects that can have huge results.

LESSER SPELLS

Blindness			10 seconds		Area Physical effect		1 target only		No Resistance
By harnessing the sun, the caster is able to blind someone with a flash of light, leaving them unable to see for 10 seconds. This cannot be Resisted, and 
Immunities fail unless the target was already blind.
Restoration			Instant			Touch Mental effect
The caster is able to bend their will to the task of reorganizing a target’s mind, bringing it back to the state it was meant to be in. This is a touch spell 
and can be used to restore memories, cure madness and effectively removes Mental effect currently affecting the character, in the same way that 
"Revive" (Lesser Life spell) removes physical effects.
Illuminate			30 seconds		Self/Area Physical effect
The caster uses light in its rawest form to create a light source of their own. This spell creates a light source with a radius of 10’ for the duration of 30 
seconds, centred on the caster.
Inspiration			1 minute			Touch Mental effect
The caster uses the illuminating Magicks to find answers within their mind. The caster must touch another, who is then granted an answer to a puzzle or 
riddle in much the same way as the skill ‘Intuition’. A ref is required.
Tongues				1 minute			Self Mental effect
The caster uses the power of Light to enlighten themselves in the ways of others. The caster may for the duration of this spell understand any language 
by one of the generation races (i.e. Sithi, Norn, Human, Ogre, Goblin, Dwarrow, Hob, Kobold, Troll, Halfling, Beastman, Fey) in vocal or written 
forms.
Truth Speak			1 minute			Ranged Mental effect
When cast, a target must answer any question put to them in the next minute as truthfully and a fully as possible.

GREATER SPELLS

Dazzling Brightness	10 seconds		Area Physical effect		3 targets only		No Resistance
The caster creates a short burst of light. Three targets within 3’ of each other are blinded for a slow count of 10. This cannot be Resisted, and 
Immunities fail unless the target was already blind.
See the Real			Instant			Self Mental effect
When cast, the caster is able to discern the exact nature of what they sees about them. This spell requires a ref. Wherever the caster wishes to look the 
ref will give them a base description of the exact nature of objects they choose - this could potentially see objects hidden by Concealment or cloaked 
by some illusion.
Forget				Instant			Ranged Mental effect
The caster drains light away from another, making them forget a piece if vital information. The victim forgets a single event or person etc. for one day. It 
could even be ‘forget that me and my friends are enemies to you’ - as long as you don’t remind them that is!
Embolden			1 minute			Touch Mental effect
The caster washes away negative thoughts from the recipient of this spell. The caster must touch another player. That character becomes Immune to 
Mental for the ensuing minute. This cannot remove effects currently affecting that character, though it will remove all Fear and Terror effects. This spell 
cannot be cast upon the self.
