Life is a force that inhabits all things - even dead beings have various diseases, maggots, flies or similar crawling over the rotting flesh. The manipulation of growth itself, Life Magick draws upon the vitality of nature, able to make growth sudden and spontaneous. Mainly drawn from Earth Fae, Life Magick is a respected study - thanked for when it heals and cursed when used to harm.
LESSER SPELLS
Diagnosis Instant Touch Physical effect The caster reads the Life within themselves or another. The caster will then be able to tell the exact effects of diseases and poisons having an effect on the person - they might not be told its Toxicity or Virulence but will know exactly what it is.
Lesser Healing 1 hit/10 seconds Touch Physical effect The caster manipulates the Life within the target to re-grow and renew. For each 10 seconds the caster remains in contact with the location, one hit point is restored to it. This can heal Critical locations, and locations which have been Crushed. This cannot restore limbs removed from a Coup de Gras.
Revive Instant Touch Physical effect The caster influences Life to heal the body, loosening pain and unweaving malady. This removes physical effects from the body - Paralysis, Pain, Sleep, Mute, Fatigue and the like. It will not cure infections and diseases, simply make them easier to manage.
Sanctuary Until ended Touch Physical effect The caster uses Life to sustain life. A character the caster can touch, including themselves if need be, cannot die (though they can be dying and in their Grace period - characters not currently in their Grace period when this spell is cast do enter it if they would normally do so, whilst characters in Grace period when the spells drops continue their death count from when the spell was cast), as long as the caster neither casts another spell, speaks or moves. During this period the caster must place their off-hand on their chest and bow their head, exactly as if they had used the skill ‘Camouflage’.
Halt Poison/Disease 1 hour Touch Physical effect The caster can use Life to reduce the affects of a poison or diseases within the recipient by influencing their living tissues. The caster is able to slow the effects of any single known poison or disease, staving off the effects for an hour. If the cure cannot be found however, the poison will take full effect.
Thorny Ground 30 seconds Area/Ranged Physical effect The caster calls upon thorns and bushes to sprout from the ground beneath their opponent’s feet. Three opponents within 3’ of one another are rooted to the spot and can no longer move their feet or lower legs.
GREATER SPELLS
Earth’s Strength 1 minute Touch Physical effect The caster uses Life from the earth channelled into them or another they can touch to resist powerful attacks. The target gains the call ‘No Effect’ for effects that are purely physical and non-healing - Mute, Strength, Knock-down, Strike-back, Pain, Paralysis, Sleep, Drain Life, Inflamed, Fatigue. They still suffer the damage in the normal way.
Greater Healing 1 hit/10 seconds Touch Physical effect The caster forces life into another that they can touch, forcing the body to renew itself and heal. The spell grants 1 hit to every location for every 10 seconds the caster is in contact with the recipient up to the recipients starting hits total. It cannot restore limbs removed from a Coup de Gras.
Paralysis 1 minute Touch Physical effect The caster uses the power of life to temporarily halt the flow of life within another. The caster must touch a person by completing this spell, and the victim of the spell suffers Paralysis for 1 minute. A Revive spell and similar will end this effect.
Cure Poison/Disease Instant Touch Physical effect The caster can use Life to rid the body of a poison or disease by influencing the living tissues of the victim. This spell removes a Disease or Poison from the body that has a Virulence or Toxicity value of 3 or less. This is treated as Treatment for game purposes.
